Since they delivered their first Fi-Fi system in 1972, Kvaerner Eureka has installed nearly 300 systems on vessels all over the world. Recent deliveries include Fi-Fi I Systems aboard two new FOSS Tug Boats which are operating in Puget Sound. Kvaerner 's unmatched experience and technical expertise has enabled them to develop equipment with optimum performance and total reliability for offshore fire fighting in the most demanding conditions.
Kvaerner water monitors are available with capacities from 5,280 GPM to 15,840 GPM with throw heights of 295 ft. to 427 ft., and throw lengths of 595 ft. to 755 ft. These monitors feature an advanced design for optimum jet performance and hydraulic or electric remote control. Kvaerner offers a unique aspirating type, foam shaper barrel with a built-in agitator for use in instances when only foam will do. The foam monitor has a capacity of 3,520 GPM. Remotely operated butterfly valves control the flow between the water barrel and the foam shaper.
Kvaerner Eureka centrifugal fire pumps are designed for high efficiency and are manufactured for a long service life with little maintenance. Pump models are available with capacities up to 44,000 GPM and head pressures up to 290 psi.
Kvaerner Eureka specializes in ABS Fire Fighter I, II, and III packages for Escort Tugs. The pump and gear box arrangement have been specifically designed for tugs with very high suction performance, small dimensions and simplicity as a guideline.
