Hyde is proud of our 130-year heritage in the Marine industry and of our leadership position in the Industrial Fluid Management markets.
Hyde is a respected supplier of equipment and services to the Marine market, particularly on the U.S. Great Lakes, but also globally. We produce and sell deck machinery, steering systems, oil/water separators and marine chemicals. Hyde is the U.S. Distributor for Kvaerner Eureka firefighting systems and recently introduced Eagle stern tube bearings and shaft seals to the U.S. market. We also produce marine electronic equipment through a subsidiary, Hyde Marine Systems.
Hyde has been actively involved in researching and developing techniques to control the spread of non-indigenous aquatic organisms in ship's ballast water. Hyde works with leading suppliers to provide effective Ballast Water Treatment technologies including the Hyde Marine Ballast Water Treatment (Hyde Guardian™) and SeaKleen, a natural ballast water biocide. Hyde also offers other water and waste water treatment solutions including UV disinfection and filtration.
